Does the add on muffler have a spark arrestor? If you ride in a national forest and a spark arrestor is required, can you show? Maybe I am missing something but, I would move to end of last muffler. 1) To show proof 2) To clean if necessary. Probably no way a SPARK could make it past two but, ya never know if the Popo will realize that. Perhaps I have misread though. If so, I apologize.
No, since it is a replacement Toyota Tacoma muffler. But I think if you explained the original muffler still has the spark arrestor in it and how the new one was attached, a reasonable officer would have no problem with it. Can't imagine they would give you a hard time over something that actually makes the rig quieter.
I image you could take a picture of the spark arrestor before it is reinstalled and carry it with you. No other way outside of pulling it apart.
As far as cleaning, mine would be fairly easy since it is only bolted on by the original tip/arrestor, then slides off the other end. Just keep anti-seize on your bolts, plus I went to stainless bolts to help stop rust.
