Did I miss it, or after 4 pages there's still no video and audio of what 2 mufflers sounds like?
I did one, but being a tech dummy I had no idea how to post it. I emailed
it to Eztrail from the cloud but have since removed it from my phone. Maybe he still has it.

Edit: Nevermind I found it in my sent folder. If anyone wants to see/hear it, you can message me your email and I can send it to you. It is startup, a few quick revs then the end of the tailpipe. I haven't done one while riding it.

I am equally challenged with technology. Maybe files can be emailed to someone that can post them? I don't have a YouTube channel of Facebook. My guess is trying to post a long video file wouldn't work.
I have a Youtube account but after 15 years have only put 2 vids on it. I went there and could not see a way to upload it from the OneDrive Cloud it is on.

Anybody figure out to do this set up as a bolt on set up? Don't know how to tell somebody how to do this. Might be easier for us not so mechanical?

I showed my exhaust guy pics in post #14 which is an RMAX4 like mine and he said no problem. I ordered the parts, and he welded it up and installed it about 3 hours. But he is a small one man shop, not a big chain so probably used to doing more fab work. I would just take those photos in on your phone and ask if they can do it.

There is one guy that did a bolt on setup with large clamps, but the spark arrester still needed to be welded. His was also an RMAX4. If you have a good independent shop around, I would at least show them those pics and see what they say.

Since your RMAX2 would have to have the 2nd muffler under the original, coming up with a bolt on mount for the right end could be a challenge. Not sure how you could do it.

I will try thatand see what happens...:poop:

Just wanted to share a little mod I did to my Rmax. I added a 1-¾ tail pipe. Machine is not only way quieter but also sounds way meaner, throaty-agressive. I used a 16ga mandrel U bend and then a 18ga straight piece and then welded the original tailpipe elbow back on. Made a hanger for it and also I removed spark arrestor screen (leave this in for maximum sound reduction) and had to remove plastic heat shied. Zero power loss maybe has little more if anything. I know this post is pretty old but I just found it and am a new rmax owner looking for a quieter ride. Did this hold up well for you? Also wanna make me one?! I'm not a welder lol 😁

The one I did on my RMAX4 earlier in the thread has been awesome. Zero issues whatsoever. I bought the muffler and u-bend and had a local muffler shop do it. Pics are in post #69.

This afternoon I stopped by my local muffler shop and showed them pics of your muffler set up. They said no problem but I should order the muffler and bring it in. As far as the spark arrestor, would it be better to add it on after the 2nd muffler? I have both the original one as well as Weller's. I was thinking of just running the "U" tube straight from the original muffler and adding the spark arrestor after the 2nd one. Any thoughts? Has anyone found any other mufflers they like over the one in the original pics? Thank you.

I just kept the original spark arrestor in the original muffler. I didn’t add an extra spark arrester.

The add-on muffler was in stock at my muffler company. It was a typical muffler. It ranges between 60 and 80 bucks I think.

What's wrong with using the stock one on the original muffler only? I don't see any advantage at all to having at the end of the 2nd muffler. Plus it is already bolted on and just needs the tip cut off and the u-bend welded on. It would be a lot more work involved having one at the end of the 2nd one for no real benefit.

Thanks. Just didn't know how hot the second muffler gets. Good point though.

Mine doesn't get overly hot, no more than the original muff and probably less. I have an RMAX4 and the 2nd muff is behind the original closer to the floor so I did mount a sheet of aluminum to the floor just to be safe. But in your case being a RMAX2, having it hang under the original should be no issue at all. Good luck with it, you'll love it and will laugh at how quiet it is when you first start it.

Thank you. I'll go with your suggestion. If I add it to the original arrestor I could always unbolt it if I ever need to. I have the Weller tuner so I might have to tune it back to the stock arrestor. Not sure why that even matters though. It's just a choice in the tuner if you have the Weller tip. I have also added the Weller machined sheave as well as 22 g weights.

When I had all the plastic apart I added killzmat to the underside of everything. Not a noticable difference in tranny noise though. These things are just loud inside. I also have factory windshield as well as back glass so I am sure that doesn't help. Thank you for your honest input.
