I’m torn here…the benefits are probably better but these don’t look aligned in the front part of door where it goes up. And while I’m not fabricator, I also don’t like spending my money on stuff that doesn’t look like it belongs. Maybe if that is cleaned up it will be an option but this may have just taken them off my wish list.

Nit picky….maybe….

It's not final. Keep in mind everything that's been shown until now has been mockups and test-fitting.

I’m keeping in mind that I live in central Oklahoma and we have 4 inches of snow and counting, and I’m gonna have to swig some fireball and bundle up like Michelin man to go do donuts tomorrow by myself, instead of turning on my buddy heater in my UORP aftermarket and cruising with my wife and kids.
(Yes the run on was needed, not to be confused with that one guy and his rants)

I’d rather wait a little longer to have a nicer finished product than have a first run. So I can appreciate them switching gears and thinking long term. Especially since oem seems long gone.l or lucky to find.

still “slightly disappointed.”

I would just get some black snaps and snap em on and go.

FYI, the scores in the plastic frame are to allow the plastic to flex and conform to the cage/door contours. Those scores will be facing the inside of the door on production units.

More updates: Keep in mind that these are not final products. Weather stripping won't be spliced like you see here. Rivets will be black and spaced differently for production and rear window perimeter plastic width will be reduced for a larger window.

I believe that by having the front of the upper window meet the roll cage more on the inside, it's going to make for less of a blind spot.

Is the frame made out of aluminum or plastic? Nonetheless, its looking better! Keep the pics coming MO.

The finish of this is looking a lot better. Pretty cool to get to see a fabricator showing off his skills to a product you will eventually own.

Yes, that's the rear OEM soft cab back window.

Looks great! Thanks for sharing the photos.

It's difficult to tell, but it appears that they will not work with their outside door latches. Can you confirm this?

Is there any word on pricing or availability?
It should work with their door latch from what I am aware. Door kit Should come with one.

I am more curious about the rear door latch , Do you have any information on that Massive ? I can't see one in the pics..
Thanks !

The front door latch is included with the framed upper doors and was made available separately after the fact. The rear doors you open by reaching in through the bottom of the window, which is velcro'd. Should be available this month and unfortunately you'll have to wait until they're released for pricing, although they should be cheaper than other framed upper door offerings but comparably-priced with soft cab options. Sorry I can't give you anything solid on pricing.

I have to say that these are by far the best looking upper doors I’ve seen for the Rmax. Any idea on when they will be released? Is there a pre-order list for them?

#64 ·
How do you seal off the bottom of the window so rain doesn’t run down inside the window frame to the interior?
I had Greg do a rain/water test on this so we'll see what happens in the final product. Unfortunately they know they missed the boat on getting these done during winter so they're concentrating on perfecting the doors. I don't have a time frame for you.

#65 ·
Do you know if they will work with the OEM glass windshield? Got any updates on the release date? Thanks

#66 ·
They absolutely will as Greg has the OEM glass installed on his RMAX4 (which is being used for test fitting). I wish I could give you a date, but cannot.

#68 ·
Are they in production yet?

#69 ·
Greg is going to Brimstone on Memorial Day where final testing of the doors will be done.

#73 ·
So as a result of testing, it was determined a latch needs to be implemented at the top of the door to prevent it from pulling away from the cage at high speeds. Don't hold me to this, but we're looking at September time frame. Keep in mind UORP is a side business and Greg's primary business is way behind on production thanks to Brandon.

#74 ·
Thanks for the update. I'd much rather they work through R&D before I buy a set , than have them rush into production with design flaws like many other expedited aftermarket products out there.

Keep us posted ! 🤞

Nothing new. Last time we discussed it was September timeframe. I will broach the subject near the end of September.

Sometimes wishful thinking isn't enough. Unique Off Road Products is a side/hobby business of Greg's and his main job/industry that pays the bills is absolutely swamped with trying to keep up with orders. Yes, you can thank Brandon for the lack of laborers needed to fill positions and UORP is not immune to that. Add on top of that supply chain issues. At BEST, UORP's framed upper doors won't be available until next year. For those of you who've held off, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Winter is right around the corner and if you need to find some protection buy what's available. I need to decide what we're going to put on our squad's two new RMAX 1000's and it's not going to be a zippered solution.

My lawnmower threw a rock through a window. One glass shop said they didn't even have enough employees to send someone out. The other glass shop owner (only two in a 30 mile radius that does house windows) came out to measure but said it will be 5 weeks before he can replace it because he's all own his own now and doesn't have any help.

I feel for all these entrepreneurs and I'm just happy they can keep their businesses going.
