seems too good to be true and he won’t just come out and tell us. Im kidding of course. I don’t know if I even want to replace my SC1 just because of the smell!

Yeah, SC-1 smells wonderful. I’ve been using it for over a year now. It’s a damn good product, but a bit pricey. Fingers crossed he’ll let us know tomorrow.

How long do you let it dry before riding?

It flashes off fast, so I think you can ride right away?

I'm doing a test on two machines tomorrow between SC-1 and something that costs a fraction less.

I have a feeling I already know the results, and if so, this will be game-changing for those looking for an economical product like this.
I'm way interested...... I'll just say I'm interest in the chemistry. I'll explain later. I love the DIY-ers.

I feel like we are all about to be catfished or pyramid schemed……
Whatever it is, it has to be cheaper than 21 cent an once. And just as good or better than Armorall...

Sorry for the delay.

I just finsihed washing my ride at work and I thought it cleaned up easily.

I used a solvent called Lacquer Diluent which is in the mineral spirits family. I doubt you'll find this in quantity outside of industry, so try using mineral spirits as your release spray. Both mineral spirits and Lacquer Diluent dry quick with film that leaves a slick surface if you were to rub your two fingertips together. There's your dirt release film.

I used a hand held pump sprayer you would find in an autobody shop or a mechanic shop. Make sure the comments say it holds up well to solvents such as acetone, tolulene, and wax and grease removers. I have Dominion Sure Seal sprayers, but companies like Colad and US Chemical make them too.

Will this discolor or degrade the plastics over time? Any other “gotchas”?

diluent

dĭl′yoo͞-ənt
adjective
  1. Serving to dilute.
  2. Diluting; making thinner or weaker by admixture, esp. of water.
So, Lacquer Thinner is the magic stuff?

I sprayed mine down was SC1 on advise from my dad. Now, his machine looks brand new but he also treats it like it's a classic car that's never seen rain or a dirt road. I think it made it easier to clean but it's not a magical potion or anything. Still needed to do some hand scrubbing.

So who’s gonna Guinea pig this one and spray their rmax down with lacquer thinner or mineral spirits? I feel like I’m missing something???

I don’t believe I will be the first one at this. Let’s nominate therebel19 to be the first to try this 😂

Dirt road warrior seems like the ambitious one.

SC1 makes light mud and dust hose off. Difficult mud, it does nothing. We have difficult mud at Carolina Adventure World. There’s no point in SC1 before a CAW ride.

What I hate about SC1 is it looks great. You go a mile down the road and dust sticks to it. Now it looks like crap whereas with nothing, the dust doesn’t stick. But yes, it sprays right off. Love hate thing.
