Can the enhanced TFT display be added to an XT-R? I really like the black and would consider trading my 2022 XT-R for a new one but would like to have the new display.

It can on a 2025.

Impressive upgrades!
I need a demo ride.

Is there a maximum speed limit for turf mode? Jared had made a comment regarding a speed limit for Diff Lock. Was not sure if that speed limit applied to the "New" rear diff. Please clarify. Thanks.

I don't believe so.

What is the bed capacity rating for the Stretched RMAX4? RMAX2 bed capacity rating is 600 lbs. Just curious. If, the bed capacity is the same, what did Yamaha do with the suspension in order to maintain this rating? Thanks.

Same as before:

I believe it's based on the chassis and powertrain, not the suspension.

The rear suspension looks more like the Rmax2 also. Curious if the shock/spring combinations are similar as well.

Isn't it basically just a stretched RMAX2? I believe they kept the same travel numbers from the 2 but you would think the shocks and springs would need to be different for the additional weight. Hopefully they got it right.

My best guess is while the travel is the same as the Rmax2, the shocks have been revalved, or slightly tuned to deal with the anticipated weight of rear passengers, their added gear, and the extra 300lbs of weight from the stretch.

I just don’t think it’s possible to add a potential 700+ pounds and not revalve the shocks, maybe even revise the rear springs.

I find it interesting that Yamaha stuck with 14” wheels when 15s have seemingly much more tire options. 15s also allow for larger brakes to deal with the added weight. Going from 14s to 15s myself, I’d never go back.

I’m also surprised that there isn’t some uproar from Yamaha fans about the possible perceived lack of power in the new Rmax4 given that Yamaha stuck with the same power plant. The minor changes they did make to the ignition and fuel maps certainly won’t compensate for a potential 700+ pounds. That’s why they made a change to clutch weights. It’s interesting to me because that’s all anyone could talk about when the Kawasaki KRX4 was revealed. How slow and underpowered that it would be…

I will say this though, the KRX4 has more than enough power, for my trails at least. Which is general trail riding and rock crawling. If Yamaha has done this right, you shouldn’t have any concerns either.

I will miss the dump bed, I won’t lie. But I’ll take the extra suspension travel and ability to fit 35s out of the gate over the Rmax4. It is a good looking SxS though. Better than the General and Commander.

If your comparing weights of the 2025 RMAX4 1000 extended to the 2024 Wolverine RMAX2 1000 then there is even more of a difference than 700 lbs. 2025 RMAX4 = 2,304 lbs.; 2024 Wolverine RMAX2 1000 = 1,839 lbs. Add 200+ lbs. per person = 400 lbs. For an increased weight of 865 lbs. with 2 additional passengers.

I was, but I was being conservative…

Add me to the list of people that thinks Yamaha can go F themselves for making a replacement for the pitifully outdated adventure pro that isn't backwards compatible.
I will be happy to retract that statement if a kit comes out later.

I was more than happy to piss away even up to $1500 for a new one with the new cradle and flip up plastic bezel piece as a kit so that I could transfer hundreds of miles of personally mapped back trails to a new unit with actual working map software. But apparently after screwing us for four years with a unit that used hardware WAY out of date before the 21's even came out, and then putting crappy race track software in it that they dropped support for, they decided to hang us out to dry permanently.

If there is a market for that pig of a stretch limo then it was a good move. We actually make a game out of watching the absurdly long four seaters get stuck high centered or wedged on trees around here. It's like sitting a boat landing watching people flail around. I just wish they had moved the diff towards the rear on the '25 "compact" to eliminate the need for different CV's and that really stupid backwards raked angle that only the four seater has. At least the stretch limo got the 2 seaters rear end.
I didn't see in the video, but if they didn't square up the rim size with these mods on all models they are morons. Wider rears are basically useless as a feature and truly annoying for many other reasons.

I see the value to others, but the extra electronic stuff wouldn't interest me, I don't do donuts in my front lawn and I know how to get the front to lock up almost instantly when I start to bog down without losing much momentum. I never have trouble steering with one hand even with the diff lock engaged so the current single setting is more than enough. When the wheel doesn't want to turn, that's useful feedback you need to pay attention to, not something to mechanically overpower.
I still have no idea how people listen to the radio in the Rmax. I got a killer deal on the rear overhead speakers for my 4 seater so I went for it, but it still has to be at ear bleeding levels to overpower the engine noise.
I would actually love the better front brakes but not enough to try and retrofit the knuckes and brakes unless all my stuff is worn out since low gear compression braking is so good that I only use the brakes on really high speed trails.

I do see the X series units becoming that much more popular as the price gap with all the added on crap keeps growing.

Did Yamaha teach it's dealerships on how to order replacement parts for Yamaha accessories? ie. Yamaha door enclosures and windshields.
