One of the things I had planned for the RMAX 4 was to make sure our family could fit so I purchased the UTVMA Bump Seat and Rear bench. Pleasant experience and the shipping was quick. Got around to installing them Sunday night and I think they turned out better than I expected! Sucks a bit to lose the ability to slide the seats forward but I all in all a win in my books.

The installation was pretty easy for both. I do believe I will be getting some shaft collars to keep the belts from sliding but not a huge deal right now.

Pretty slick ! You must have a big family , I never seen a six seat Rmax before.

In Wisconsin , that would all be illegal modifications and hefty fines. They have a law stating ONLY the manufacturers oem passenger capacity is allowed. ATV and UTV.

Yeah we have 6 total. For Oklahoma it looks to be that there is a seat for each passenger and proper seatbelt or harness but majority of the riding will be done in places not heavily enforced

It makes backing up a little harder but its what works for us and the little one seems to enjoy the ride from there.

How hard are they to remove once they've been installed? I've got a family of 6 as well, but I also want to use it for hunting. What does the bump seat attach to?

Not hard at all to take out. The bump seat is mounted to a bracket that shares holes with the front seat floor bolts

Hope y'all seats came with the right size "longer" bolts. The ones they sent me were to long for the back inside bolts. luckily I noticed it was getting hard and I unbolted it to see what the issue was. Only $1.09 for right size bolts at the hardware store, so not that big of a deal. just a FYI for those ordering the bump seat.

Mine were fine, good catch though!

I installled mine. I’m a base model so I didn’t have a roof at the time of install. I found it much easier to lower it from the top than to remove the bar and finesse it in. Overall pretty easy install. The harness and seat are really good quality. Just for those thinking about doing it.

Sorry to Zombie an older thread. I want to make my RMax4 a 5 seater. trying to decide if the rear bench or the bump seat is the better option. How big can the kid be and still fit in the bump seat vs the middle rear seat? I assume the bench will fit a bigger kid but not sure how much. I have a 6 yo that is quite small for his age at the moment. I lose rear visibility with the bump and I lose cargo options with the bench so those are probably a wash. Thanks for any insight.

I went with rear seat. It’s awesome. For cargo space I bought dirt road fabrication bed extender. I have all the storage space I could want now with ability to hold extra weight. I know he’s prob tired of me saying it but I love that bed extender. It has a floor support and can be used with tailgate up

Cheapest route to go is using a car booster seat - full back sized one that hold kids up to like 80 lbs.
I picked one up on Craigslist for $10 and chopped the rear plastic a little for a better seating angle for the kid. It works up front and in the rear middle space.
I used paracord to synch it down to the seat belt mounts and then also to the crossbar behind it. They come with the belts to secure to brackets in an automobile so everything is already there for you.
Thing locks in really good and it also had a 5 point harness so you're all set and can remove it in a few minutes

Wondering if you have any pics of the booster seat? I am thinking about that or the rear bench.

I will definitely check out the booster seat route to save cash for other upgrades. My rig is supposed to deliver in June and I can just use one of the ones we already have. Hopefully I can fit it without hacking so I can just move it back to the car when not in use. I'm glad to hear an 8 yo can still use the bump seat if that ends up making more sense.

I didn't need to remove mine and made no modifications

Just installed mine most definitely needed to remove lid and it still almost touch's. As others have stated two of the supplied bolts are way too long. I think I'll modify the brackets to raise seat up a little more and put lid back on. Brackets are also rather flimsy....

When routing belt through seat I could not get straps over internal support like I thought they should be so to how foam is made. When you tighten straps it actually pulls at seat cover... Not overly impressed.

Yeah it's been great! Held up nicely so far and the harnesses are nice.
