Sorry but virtually none of the new 2025 upgrades are backward compatible with the older models.

Can other programs be installed on the Adventure Pro 2 (without jumping thru hoops)? Will our existing front and rear windows fit the new models? Existing Trail Armour skid plates and a-arm guides fit? Just wondering how much stuff I could move over to a new model.

Not that I'm aware of (concerning the AP). Yes as far as RMAX4 Compact but obviously skids won't fit the longer RMAX4 (long wheelbase). A-arm guards should transfer. Once we have the full accessory catalogue for the RMAX4 (long wheelbase), we'll have a better idea.

What about the framed upper doors for the RMAX2? Backwards compatible?
Yes and No. I don't know if the 2025 internal door frames already have the brackets required to accept the 2 vertical posts on each framed upper or if that's added after the fact. I'm confident they could be retrofitted and possibly even supported officially. To be frank, the framed upper doors weren't even seen by some of the top brass until it was revealed to the media group. I'll update once I get my demo unit.

I love those framed upper doors with the soft insert and hope they sell them as an accessory package including a hinge retrofit for the 2024/2023/2022/2021 RMAX4 (Short Wheelbase)... Because that solves two things that I cannot stand about my machine lol

Where the heck is Budro2?!? This is what you've been asking for mang!!!

Does the RMAX 2 get the turf mode too? On the Yamaha site under specs it is not listed for the 2's.

#16 ·
ALL RMAXes ;)

They do need to highlight it but it is on the features page:

I was wondering when the extended version was going to happen. That's amazing news for many. I picked the RMAX4 "Compact" (I am not going to call it that on a regular basis haha) because of the short wheel base, and wouldn't prefer the longer wheel base for my needs, but I can definitely see it selling really well, and I think the turf mode will make them a much better choice for the majority. I'll be keeping my 2022 for the long haul, but I'll probably be adding another YXZ to the stable in a year or two. Good stuff MO, it seems like Yamaha is listening, and I like options haha

Once I get my demo I can compare, but logic tells me both front and rear will have new mounting layout. There's ECU, wiring harness, EPS-integration, etc. that would be a major undertaking to retrofit an older model.

I'm still waiting / wanting to see an auto/manual Paddle shifter transmission, geared properly, in the RMAX. Maybe one of these years.

Guys, make sure you recheck the 1st post as I'm constantly updating videos when they come in to that page.

I think the Viking still has a place as a less expensive ranch machine with a bigger cargo bed but they need to get off the pot and put the 850 in it if there gonna keep it.

It's an updated EPS unit.

Glad to see they finally brought a long wheelbase. Personally, I prefer the simplicity of the rear diff without “turf mode” but to each their own. Don’t understand why the lwb is still so damn tall (82.7”) compared to competition. Also would have been a perfect opportunity to do full height doors instead of the shoulder bolsters.

I didn't get to cover the new tilt up windshield. Thanks for covering it Jared. You can pull the duct tape off now ;)

The fact that Yamaha brought the General 4 and Commander Max out for everyone to also ride to compare directly with the RMAX4 competition SLAYER is significant
