I have an 2021,X2 850, I had a full glass windshield and polycarbonate rear window installed. Question now is where to install and what antenna best work for GMRS radio? Anybody have experience with the?

Ideally you'd want to mount it to the roll bar up high for best coverage as well as SWR if possible in your terrain. An antenna that will not snap off is by far the best especially in bush rides.

Everyone in our group gets set up by Betner.
He has a complete set up for $199 which includes the radio and antenna. Most use a hockey puck antenna and magnetic mic holder.
They mount the puck antenna on the roof with a disc plate for reception.
Maybe give them a call. Everyone seems happy with their setup and recommend.

If you don't have whip or some sort of element. You are then use a coiled dummy load for an antenna. Yeah if you pump enough watts it will travel some distance and also need a strong signal to receive anything. Jraoffroad link has an element as it must have an antenna & not needing a ground plane.
