That was a good read! 👍

Really cool. I would be interested to know more about Romeo's life and hobbies. Maybe an AMA thread is in order. [emoji106]
I can see a Dos Equis commercial featuring Romeo Barrera, the most interesting man in the world! STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS

What are you thankful for? I'm Thankful for our Law Loan RMAXes. Our Law Loan units were in jeopardy of being lost because of some bureaucratic government regulation BS (nothing that Yamaha did) but we've worked through it.

We received a call yesterday and it initially ruined a lot of Thanksgiving dinners, but after bitching about bad personal decisions and reflecting how bad yesterday's call could have turned out, I'm grateful for a positive outcome and we were able to return to our reheated turkey dinners in the end. I've had to take our RMAX4s through some areas that would have left our previous Commander Max XT's stranded along with our crew. I actually had to use our winch for the first time yesterday because we got into a hairy situation. Don't let the truck in the picture next to our RMAX fool you. That was just final entry point and only time I had to take a picture.

The RMAX wasn't the hero yesterday, but it is an IRREPLACEABLE tool that makes our lives so much easier and allows us to respond so much faster to life-threatening situations. It goes places a $100K Sherp wouldn't be able to in our local terrain.

So thank you #YamahaLawLoan and Black Hills Powersports for sponsoring our RMAX units. Thank you for making vehicles that are practical for us peasants because going 100 MPH in the dunes wouldn't have helped us yesterday and while HVAC would have been nice, dropping our crew as close to the patient in unyielding terrain is more important than delivering them only to the trailhead in comfort. 18 degrees was a bit cold so getting UORP doors installed is priority #1.

Just to add to this. I would LOOOVEE to have tracks for our RMAXes. They would get us easily to certain points on trail #9 but they would make the RMAX too tall to clear some of the rock faces. Filipino ******* tire studs to the rescue

Medevac training with BOTH Life Flight and the National Guard. Waiting for footage from the other team who had the pleasure of working with the hoist operations.

You know, I really love my YXZ and my RMAX4 has become a red-headed step child. But then we get a SAR call where the capability of the RMAX4 really shines and I fall back in love with the RMAX4 all over again.

I can honestly say that the Teryx4, Honda Pioneer 1000, Commander Max, General 4..... none of these 'competitors' can hold a candle to the capability of our RMAX4's. Little Devil's Tower trail is our toughest trail to navigate a SxS through. Much of the time we'll use ATV's just to avoid any carnage but there are times like yesterday where we have to use a SxS.

Thank you Yamaha and Black Hills Powersports for Custer County Sheriff Office's Law Loan RMAX4 and thanks to Jared for the first responder Ryco kit discount!

Everyone was already at or heading to HQ for tonight's scheduled training when we received a call on Trail #9 so all Wolverines rolled out. Usually the ambulance arrives on scene first and has to wait us but for once the ambulance was holding us up! Luckily the patient had already made it down to the trailhead so the convoy was all for naught.
