The Versa Trails are great in snow also...

I really like the looks of these tires. Even more on the machine than in pics. I didn't know until looking at the specs that Carlisle is a part of the company with ITP. They should be an awesome all around tire.

Any updates on these? Also looking to get a set. Currently run mudlite, but I’d prefer something more suitable for gravel/pavement when it’s not hunting season. 1) To prevent excessive wear on the mudders and 2) The mudlite will yank your shoulder out of socket at speeds over 35 once they’ve worn a bit :drive::lmao:

Maxxis Bighorn tire (original) run fine on pavement and has big lugs when needed. I had them on my ATV and easily runs 70-90km/hr without issues on pavement. I have Kenda Bearclaw HTR (current favourite) on another ATV and a bit noisier but has a lug pattern to claw throw anything. This will work as well using them while plowing now on the ATV. Works great and if I change my Wolverine tires thats what I'd put on. I don't care for the Bighorn 2.0's on them right not. Very round front tire profile. Kenda's are much flatter.

I've only been out once since putting on. Went to pull game cameras and get last tree stands down. One area that I went through where a tractor runs through feeding cows is very nasty. Never had trouble getting through with stock tires but a lot of sliding and sideways. The Versa Trails went through straight.

These tires have worked out very well for me. They have about 3000 miles on them and have only worn down about 3/16 of an inch. I'm sure I could get a coulple more seasons of riding out of them. I seldom go over 35 mph while riding on the roads. They have also performed very well in the riding conditions we have here in Maine. No flats, cuts or sidewall problems and I have had them in some serious muddy rutted trails and never got stuck. They do great on the rocks and wooded narly trails . I don't have to baby them.
I run about 9 psi in front and 10 psi in the rears. I would buy another set.

Anyone still running these? They now have them as an ITP Versa cross V3 tire in larger sizes. They are priced real good, 8ply, and fairly light. I've wanted to give them a try, but can't find much info on them.

Thanks. I think I'm going to give them a go. Its one of those things that if I dont try them I'll always wonder about them. I can sell my take off's for about enough to call these free so if I dont like them I'll just be in them position I'm in now.

I did the deal. I don't think I could beat $650 to my door for a set DOT approved 33x10R15 tires.

What are you putting them on Jra?
I've seen them on mules and rangers that are used as Plant maintenance vehicles that never leave blacktop.
I figured the local UTV shop installed them for hard pack terrain and long wear.

When I see them, I see a utility tire.
The 33s are rated: 750 lbs @ 26 psi

750.000026

They are going on the KRX. The 750 lbs is the NHS 18" wheel tire. They are marketed as a all terrain tire. I haven't found a review that had any bad to say on them, but I haven't found many reviews. If they suck I'll go to the Roxxzilla's and run these as a street tire for ride I know will see a ton of blacktop.

Very interesting and thanks for sharing.
I may have to add these to the list as I'm looking for a tire with good handling on groomed trails at higher speeds.

Let us know what you think after you test them out :)

Will do. On a side note it appears a lot of the smaller sizes under the Carlisle brand are no longer on there site. It looks like a 25&26 in 12" is all they still offer.

They arrived today. 32.5 tall unmounted and seem softer than I expected. I found it odd they have the sidewall markings of a motorcycle tire. Hopefully I get get some weights and mount them this weekend.

I think I figured out the differences between the versa trail ATR and XTR, and the versa cross and versa cross V3. I could be wrong on most of this though, some differences could just be size dependent.

Versa trail ATR. Now only listed in 12 rim sizes, 25 & 26 tall, staggered widths. 6PR not Dot approved. Center lugs are divided into 2 blocks.
Image

Versa trail XTR. Now discontinued for Versa cross? 14" wheel, 30&32, 10 wide. 6PR and was DOT approved.

Versa cross. 14" wheels, 30 & 32 tall, all 10" wide. 8PR may be DOT approved, conflicting markings. Center lugs divided into 3 blocks. Best pic I found.

Versa cross V3. 14,15,18 and 20" wheels, 28,33 and 35 tall, all 10 wide. 8PR, DOT approved, but 2 sizes marked NHS. Center lugs divided into 4 blocks. Different side lugs than the others.

At first the 4 blocks was confusing. I guess I always thought of the 3 block design.
Even now, when I googled pics of the V3's, I never picked up on it but it's there.
That's the best pic of that tire I've seen too. Most of the google pics show it at slight angles or far away and the spacing looks closer.
It's a good looking tire for sure.

Mount those puppies up and give us the good, bad & ugly.......lol

It's even more confusing because many venders are using the wrong picture. I never picked up on it I had them in hand.

How do the sidewalls feel? Thick/Thin compared to those Carnivores or others?
The thick sidewalls of the Kenda Bear Claw HTRs have me a little spoiled as they ride so damn smooth.
