Nice work! The grate gives it a righteous Freddy Krueger look. Any concern of impeded airflow to the radiator?

Oh and...I have plagiarized your onboard air concept. Snorkeled, switched, key-on, off the backup battery--that little CKMA12 draws some AMPS! Trying rubber grommets in the mount to absorb some vibration, but not sure if it matters. I'll complete the install this weekend. Thanks for helping me spend more $$ on this machine!

i doubt that it will cause over heating, the holes are 22 mm in dia..

i wouldnt bother rubber mounting the compressor - not running enough to worry about it.
glad i could add to your build !

before i get to many km on the machine i wanted to get a base line on the shockers and all spring rates, pull one front and one rear off and we dyno the shockers and load tested and rated the springs. this will be for future spring and shocker re valving. we were happy to see the shockers work well and have reasonable curves ( can be improved) , but one thing that stood out was between setting 1 and 2 there was hardly any change in the curves.
couple of pics. We checked all springs as well as a new set of bandit tenders to see where they were at..

Yeah. I have iQS and can't tell the difference between soft and medium, and barely any difference in stiff.

work is still flat out and hard to find time to post etc.
but i have the first major trip coming up for the rmax in a very harsh area of austraila next month and cant wait to get a good run done it it.
just though i would post some trip set up pics of how we will run this time as a shake down. we have heaps of experience in cross country travel off road in a full size 4x4, but this is a first in a side by side for us. i guess you guys call it overlanding!. as usual we will be camping out so need food and cooking gear and a fridge, we expect temps up to 40 deg c.

we will be doing a bit of hunting while out n about..
carrying 20lt spare fuel with us but will also be doing a few fuel drops along the way as some areas are 400 km loops.

Gotta say, my last outing I focused on the iQS and used medium and firm settings a lot and am quite satisfied with it. Gained some appreciation of how the system works. Soft setting is good for medium speed on small rocks/choppy roads. Medium-firm on most everything else. Running 10-12 psi.

Good riding on your trip! Looking forward to your posts about the experience in the SxS.

this last week spent fitting new Bandit tenders,
(more info in this thread spring upgrade for 2022-rmax-4 in the general discussion section)
The fronts i was happy with, but the rear left the rmax sitting too high (in my opinion) with the weight we had on board, i do not like running excessive cv angles so worked out adding a third keeper spring to the rear, so running a factory main, Bandit tender, and an Eibach 150lb/in spring part number 0175.250.0150 with a thin joiner between the Bandit and Eibach spring.
The verdict is I'm wrapped with the ride and the adjustability i now have in the back end, we can now maintain factory ride height with what ever load i put in the back with nice soft ride.

You have me very interested now and I have several questions haha.
This allows softer preload on the Bandit while still eliminating slop? EDIT: this is answered in your other post.
Does this keep the bandit spring aligned properly without any scraping threads/binding on compression and rebound?
Any problems on full compression?
Does this substantially soften/loosen the ass end on hard cornering?
Can you share the “thin joiner” part number?
Apologies for all the questions, but I run a big range of weight in the rear, from just medic stuff and trail tools, to having two adult rear passengers plus normal load out/extra water/extra fuel/sometimes a CRF50 on the back, and I’d just like a little more info before copying your setup :ROFLMAO:

Hi Sid
best to jump back and read my last post on the other thread, it will cover off most of these questions.
but the part number for the spacer/joiner was spacer 250.
we also will have large differences in loads so i believe this set up will cover most bases.
re the cornering - it is soft but i am unsure if that has changed as i have only had the Bandits on for a week before i added the extra springs. but at ride height my third keepers are solid so it should be the same as just with bandits!

I hadn’t seen your other post when I asked these questions. I’m anxious to hear how you like your new setup over the coming weeks. Please share your findings. Safe travels!

Thanks crow
I’m in remote area and only get coverage every four days and couldn’t reply. Crow is correct with the link. They are very well made been using them for years on our quads.
