So after waiting over 500 days for my machine to arrive, i had plenty of time to put a list of thing ( and order in product ) to do to the rmax when it arrived. I have kept a list of issues and problems others have raised during that time and intend to visit all these to tidy the unit up.

So when i got it home did a couple of laps of our farm to settle the suspension and brought it into the work shop to get base figures of weight and height before i start on it.
here are the base numbers.

with full tank of fuel and no additions fitted yet and no passengers..
front lh 196 rh 206 =402 kg
rear lh 248 rh 260 =508 kg
total weight 910 kg.
Front height to center of lower wishbone bolt front 395 rear 358mm
Rear height to under hitch 340mm

i will post a couple of pics, especially of springs as there are many talking about the tenders being compressed from new - mine are not..
have run up 65km so far then striped it done to start adding mods & accessories.

Wow, this is sweet! Thanks for sharing! I'll be following this build. I'm not sure what my next machine will be but I'm currently thinking RMAX 4. I need to see one in person and drive it. I have plenty of time, not making another move for a couple of years.

so found some time yesterday to get a start on wiring, i am trying to get all current and future wire requirements in at same time so bit of future proofing.
I have used a custom fuse box that allows you to add any number of fuses and relays in the grid of 60 positions.
dual battery isolation is done with REDARC SBI12 voltage sensing isolator - this also allows me to join both batteries together to jump start off the aux battery or help with extra power while winching etc.

fuse board - all power from auxiliary battery, I have split into two, half the fuses will need ignition switch on to make them live - via Narva 200 amp relay, the other half is direct from aux battery. both have midi fuse protection.
there will also be 4 35 amp relay within the box

and here is the completed air compressor and hose set up.
I love that onboard air setup. For now, I have the M12 inflator in my recovery bag, mainly because I pack a toolbox with M12 tools and about 10-12 batteries. I have distant future plans for onboard air, but I've been debating possible compressor install locations. Do the ARB compressors deal with water submersion pretty well?

I have added
An air intake snorkel to the air compressor that now picks up air from behind and above the glove box. So yes all sealed down low. ✅

That battery mount! Not sure if you are preparing from past experiences or maybe just thinking ahead, but either way this is an awesome set up!

Thanks!
i am a long time 4wder, can spend a lot of time in remote areas so systems need to be bullet proof. i didnt want the battery sitting on the bash plates - wanted air gap so dents didnt touch battery and no way for rust to start.

Makes sense, any plans for storing something there? Now you got me thinking it would be a nice spot for scissor jack or I might now relocate the tool roll.. more forward weight down low would be great and could still give some space to the diff.

WNC1000, eventually i will make a custom alloy door for quick access and use the space for storage ( the reason i compressed the battery and comp in tight ). that will be down the track a while, i still have too many other things to get done on it. the bigger jobs being front bar and rails, and rear bar..

I just realized you were referring the bash plate or skid plate! I do have a bunch of stuff under seat in a dry bag but tows straps line the bottom to take the grunt. A fabbed access hatch would make things easier and less searching for an allen key!

I read bash and thought of the “bash guard” up front, there is a very small in comparison space in front of the diff, under winch.
