Just saw it. Thanks for the info! I cant get a sun top for my Rmax4 anywhere. This seems to be the only aftermarket option. Although I do not consider it an option yet, you can buy them? Hopefully soon

 

Try it on the Rmax and see if it fits. Perhaps with a few modifications you can make it work!

 

Since the X4 and the Rmax4 Factory sun tops are the same. Part number and all, I figured the cages are the same also.

 

I was in the same boat and a member on here stated her purchased a sun top that was meant for a 4 door jeep jk. I purchased one from amazon for about 25.00 and it works. It a mesh top and keep the sun off of you and slows the rain. Its not perfect but it works.

 

Took my alien shade off my TJ for this weekend!!

 

May be a mute point now. Getting ready to try and install again but decided to call my local Yamaha dealer. He says he found a sun top for my RMAX 1000-4. Keeping my fingers crossed.
