I have a Honda pionner 700 and looking at the wolverine. Ride 90% mountain trails. Like to sight see but also like to climb. We have some steep rocky trails and just curious if the wolverine will be good for this. The pionner is rough riding and want something better riding. Is the suspension good?

Welcome to the forum.

As far as comfort and ride and capability on the trail, the Pioneer, (in my opinion and I think that future comparisons will prove me right), is not in the same class as the Wolverine and this is coming from a guy that has not ridden in either one. But I have sat in both and seen video's of both. I suggest you go to a Yamaha dealer and take a ride.

I have a 2014 pioneer 700 with 9,000 miles on it I set it up for a good ride and it is good but my wolverine will do nearly everything better. You can't beat the Pioneer torque converter for inching along rock crawling. The Wolverine needs to be moving so you don't abuse the wet clutch. Oh and you don't have to deal with belt drive maintenance.
