Strange as it may sound, I have never installed a slug kit in my own vehicle, just customers and vehicles I borrowed to test on.

Today I installed the slug kit in my Wolverine and I am impressed with my own kit!!! LOL

As soon as you touch the gas it starts moving, less slippage means longer clutch life and better low end take off especially with the larger tires.


I also went ahead and installed the machined sheave, gold spring and 18gr weights we sell for a stock machine. Now this I already have installed tested etc.

Also am trying out some new dry lube in the sheave, might be something we use on sheaves going forward

Was sold out of Wolverine sheaves, got some in today ready to machine.

Someone mentioned on another thread that slug kits were not mentioned much, I assume they are not since it is just a no brainer, anything that makes a $600 wet clutch system last longer and is only $59 is a no brainer.

Everyone should have one regardless of tires, more wet clutch grip the less it slips the longer it lasts. Plus the instant engagement is nice too
