I've used mobil 1 and valvoline in both my X4 and Rmax4 with maybe 4k miles combined and no issues. I think massive recommends the mobil 1 and he prob has more miles than anyone on all his machines

Definitely Gear Butter with Mobil 1, Amsoil, or your favorite synthetic in the gearboxes. If you're a U-boat commander then stay with conventional in the front/rear gearboxes and change out often.

I told MO a long time ago that you could add GearButter with Supertech and it would out perform any other production gear oil sold. I never posted for fear of being tarred and feathered. You can add it to front differentials also.

Don't forget adding some TS as well!
