Thermostat bypass valve install. Take 2!

Inferno has a video as to the orientation of the bypass valve:

So you install the bypass with the brass bypass side towards the engine and thermostat side that unscrews on the housing towards the radiator. If you think about it logically, HOT coolant is directed to the heater core FIRST and not only until the coolant reaches proper temp does the thermostat open up allowing some coolant to go to the radiator.

So you want it to go on the driver's side for a reason. That's HOT coolant from the engine. If you install it on the passenger side hose, you're tapping coolant that's run through the radiator and been COOLED. It's a radiator bypass. It's called a 'thermostat bypass' because it has a thermostat in it but the name is misleading. If you look at the description on Inferno's website it says:

"The Inferno thermostat bypass valve (for 1″ radiator hose) provides a more consistent heat. More coolant will be directed through the heater before it is passed to the radiator. "

I would have answered sooner, but I try to step back and let other members provide the proper answer, which in most cases they do, but in this case they didn't.
