We took the RMAX2 out this past weekend. On the trail it started smoking bad out the exhaust (as in you would think it was on fire it had that much smoke). In neutral at a high rpm it doesn’t smoke. In high or low when you get the rpm up it lays a smoke screen down that is unreal out of the tailpipe.
Temp is normal and all oil levels are fine.
Just want to know if anyone has had this issue?

So, you are saying it only does it under load? I assume it is blue smoke and not white or black smoke?

Yes that’s correct.

I would check and see if the crankcase breather is dumping oil into the intake, then if nothing pull the muffler off. I would assume anything after that you are going into the engine starting with the valve train.

Take it back to the dealer if it's under warranty, I won't even touch anything i own if it's a warranty issue, it just gives them an excuse to deny it.

Whatever it is, it’s not normal as you already know. Give your dealer a call and schedule an appointment to drop it off. Let them be the ones to determine what’s causing the smoke screen. Do not touch anything!!!

Agreed, if it still under warranty and they put the oil in it.

Could be that the rings never seated correctly, they may blame incorrect break in, just to not cover it.

I doubt it, it would be smoking all the time. It could just have too much engine oil and coming up through the breather.

Since you now know it was to much oil, be sure to crawl under the machine and drain the oil out of the breather tube that goes from the air filter to the engine. You may have 6-8 ozs. that run out. There is a small semi-clear plastic tube/plug with a clamp on it that is accessible from underneath. The clamp holding the plastic drain on has been improved but you may still want to replace it with a regular hose style clamp. You may need to take the plastic drain plug off 3-4 times to let as much oil as possible drain out of it. Don't drive/crank the machine with the drain plug off, but check it a few times after the initial drain and then after getting the machine up to temperature a few more times. It will continue to just fill up the clear plastic drain plug a couple of times as the machine gets hot, letting the oil drain easier to this lowest spot, the drain plug.

While your underneath check the breather tube worm clamps (2 of them) close to this drain plug to be sure they are tight. You may see oil seeping out from around the bands holding the 2 pieces of plastic breather tubing together.

You might want to pick a set of spark plugs too. Iridium doesn't foul as easy but still can from burning oil.
