Hey folks, I'm looking for ideas on adding a second battery. I don't want to use the over priced kit from Yamaha and I would like the second battery to be Lithium and maintain the stock battery AGM. Thoughts on this?

I currently have the following installed-

SSV radio
Yamaha's touchscreen
Fog lights
Mirror lights
Strobes
Turn signal kit with horn
Rock lights
Rugged Radio air pumper
Winch

And looking to add a few more lights.
A second battery will be a must. Any advice from this with experience, don't be shy.

Much appreciated

Check out my build thread in my signature. I had to make my own battery mount under the rear foot rest. I think i have links to all the parts I bought and they were cheaper but looked to be the same quality/brand as Yamaha uses. I use two AGM batteries.

Both AGM batteries the same size? I did see the parts needed, just missed the part about the battery type besides being the original started battery.

I was going to go Lithium for the start battery but they were too expensive for me.
I sold lithium batteries for years. Stay with AGM for your start battery, they are more dependable and work better in extreme weather. You can get a Mighty max agm for under $100 and it has more power per size ratio. Noco has a charge mode that puts 16v at low current to an AGM, which cleans the sulfides off.
