So those two wires from the winch solenoid are for nothing? I already have the remote hooked up. It was a dealer warn winch setup.

From what I remember that are just the 2 wires that trigger the solenoid. You would need a third wire (power) if you were to hook it up. Basically those wires do nothing until power is applied to one or the other.
