I put a wire nut in the hose as someone on here gave me the idea. It does the same thing and easily removed if I need to. It seems to start in cold weather a little better with it blocked off.

I did it as well using a little ball bearing I had that was slightly bigger than the hole. Same principle as the wire nut. No investment of money and you can change it back real fast.
I may have noticed a difference if it was still real cold outside when starting but the temps had mellowed out before I did it. Honestly I can’t say if I can tell any difference!
