I just unplugged mine and crossed the wires, works fine.

 

I guess there's more than one way to skin a cat. That said, I thought that someone on here had posted a listing for the bypass plug a while back.

Thanks for the link. However, this is for a YXZ & Viking. Is this plug compatible with the Rmax?

 

I have the bypass plug but have no idea where to plug it in...the instructions say follow the wire...can only do thT to the bottom of belt then it goes under floor

 

Its under the front driver seat. You need to take out the front seat and some plastics under the seat. Once you do that you will see it.

You don't have to remove the seat. Take off the side cover.

I just got around to installing the by pass plug today and I went ahead removed the seat along with the plastic cover piece/side panel. Well, leave it to me as I got everything put back together, I snapped off one of the bolts that holds the side panel on. So tomorrow, I'm going to use my extractor to remove the broken threads. As for the bolt that I broke off, I think it is part # 90109-06202-00. I just ordered (2) of them from Partzilla so we shall see when they get here.

 

I just installed a bypass plug today. I could not get the side panel on the drivers side to come all the way off. What is the trick to removing it???

I had the screws all out but it seemed like there was something holding it from coming completely off.
I was able to reach in and install the bypass plug but it would have been much easier if the panel came all the way off.

 

The first thing I did when I brought my Rmax home was take the seatbelt latch apart with a torx bit and wrapped a thin strip of electrical tape around the switch to hold it down and put it back together. 5min tops and zero issues. Ridiculously easy.

 

I did the same mod. I got the idea from this video. Super easy and if/when I go to trade or sell easy removal and back to factory annoyance lol
