As you can see, the new RMAX2/4 1000 models are poised to compete directly with the Polaris General. I've included KRX and Honda Talon X4 specs just because I know some were curious if it would compete with those models. The green highlighted numbers designate the winners in each category, keeping mind the first 2 columns are being compared between the RMAX2 and General, and columns 3 and 4 between the RMAX4 and General XP 4. KRX and Honda aren't ranked because those numbers are just for reference.

Almost forgot the top speed of the RMAX is 70 MPH and has a CVT and dry sump just like the X2/X4. They basically super-sized the 847 cc engine (not bored out, it's a completely new engine).

Is this the same cvt as the X2? How will it hold up to 1000cc and 30's? I have 30's on my X2 with HW sheave. I can tell you it does not like 30's in high gear. Always smell burnt rubber. No matter if I'm going down the road, only been on road twice, or a quick blip of throttle in the yard. Low gear is great! No problems!

Do you think the drive mode is a way to protect the cvt and a selling feature? I have something similar on my truck. Economy makes it a dog. The custom tune makes it roast the tires off when I take off. I could see how this could govern your foots throttle input to save wear and tear on the cvt
