708cc, DOHC. Looking for about 55 HP. This should be a pretty good performance boost over the Viking.

That's my guess, 55-60 hp.

My math shows 55.89 hp for the same hp/cc as the Polaris 570 which is a torque tuned motor compared to some of the other DOHC motors.

But since the Viking motor should be pretty close to 55 I am going to bet the Wolverine will be closer to 60.

High 50's is my guess, the Viking is 47.

Yes, 47 according to CARB. I was estimating it on the supposedly better performance than the 800 Ranger. The Viking is also a little heavier than the Ranger and the CARB for it is 50 hp. So, I don't know what that deal is. Maybe more efficient drive train.

the bore and stroke is 1 mm larger each for the 708 cc vs. the 686 cc

the frame, the suspension, and the engine for certain are different. and of course, the body panels. the cvt will be similar. there aren't many details available yet.

oh. well Yamaha is being very quiet about details. it's a single cylinder 708 cc dohc engine. I am guessing 55-60 hp tuned for torque with a top speed around 60 mph

Probably wouldn't be good for me to own a 120 hp machine. Sure wouldn't mind takin' one out for a spin though!
