There's a 3-pin connector in the back for the tail lights. Most street legal kits have you disconnect it to plug some of the kit wiring there. That still doesn't explain your mystery plug unless it's some sort of factory test plug.

Everything seems functional at the moment, I’m going to check the 4WD & tail lights tonight. So far the winch, head light

I was just thinking the same thing. I did install the Rocker Style D Mode switch a couple weeks ago and it been working perfectly. The jumper would make total sense to keep it locked in trail mode.
It wouldn't function without it then and his is.
They are capped not jumpered as I remember from discussion we had on wiring the mode switch yourself.

I came across this on ebay. Somebody must have upgraded their standard model to the lighted version. Plug seems to be the same. Maybe that is used to test the 4wd activation or something duting assembly.
