I've noticed the past couple of rides the helmet light is flickering and today when I took off it was running like like the seat belt wasn't buckled but the alarm didn't go off. I unbuckled and buckled back and all was well, but the helmet light was still flickering. So I guess I need to do the seat belt hack, but does that have anything to do with the helmet light? I guess flickering isn't the right word, it comes on for a few seconds then goes off a few seconds later.

On mine the helmet light is (was) on all the time. It didn't have anything to do with the seat belt. I didn't like how bright it was at night so I unplugged the wire on the back of the light. That will definitely prevent yours from flickering.

I later used that hot wire to power the switch for my backup camera.
