Pretty sure Jimclemjr did, he’s still on the forum a little. You can send him a PM. He’s very helpful!

Problem I experienced is even throwing a big bore kit on a very low hour machine (660 raptor) it made a very small improvement in power, I hadn't yet recieved my hot cams so I put it all back together and got it tuned and took it out on a ride, after about 2 days of riding the extra compression ended up destroying the bottom end, it wiped out the entire big bore kit, cylinder and all, so I did a full factory rebuild and out the hot cams in, machine ran like a raped ape with the hot cams on the stock bore. Either way a big bore on a rhino is 6 extra hp, I doubt it would even be noticeable.

I respect the desire, as I am an old hot rodder, so wrenching on these things is cool. However 708 Overbore is not worth the dollars imho, but that's your decision. Carillo will make an oversized piston for these motors but it is a minimum 5 order. Cometic will make you the gasket, takes 6 weeks. Don't know where to get now but maybe some around on eBay. I found mine at JBS who did this a few years back. You need a good bike machine shop to tool the cylinder overbore (it's a steel liner OEM). I shipped mine to a shop in Arizona who required piston as well to match it.. I used an 11:1 and with overbore the calculation is about 10 to 15% increase at best if I remember correctly. Main challenge is getting a good set of cams which are not to be found. IIRC the Grizzly cam is the same and you can get a cam company (cannot remember their name) to custom grind your cam for $600 and cannot remember if that was each or for both. There are some higher performance valves and springs from Kibble-White. I needed to do my OEM rings anyway and James gave me the piston so I went down the road for overbore only. But you need to also spend the $$$ for AFR gauge with your Power Commander to get the tune right. One other challenge I would hypothesize adding too much power to this motor, would be is the wet clutch will start to be undersized and maybe the CVT. I just surmise that as Yamaha motors started to grow in size the engineering of the CVT changed with the X machines, but others on forum may offer a better perspective.

I wouldn't do it, you are asking for problems. I just tuned a Viking 780 last weekend. I have the maps for your stock engine which is already too lean. And I can map a big bore.

Webcams here is Riverside will grind you new cams. But you will have to buy them from Yamaha and ship them to Webcam. Your looking at around $1600 for both cams. They made cams for Weller Racing. If you put too much duration in, you will lose your bottom end. And then you will have CVT issues. Adding more fuel to the combustion area means adding more cooling. You need to figure that out or you will be popping head gaskets.

You say you have done almost everything.... does that include the oil chain sprocket nut? Now that is an upgrade worth the effort so you do not sacrifice the motor. You did not give us miles/hours so maybe you dodged that assembly line bullet but would be insurance effort.
I would recommend you also reflash the ECU if for no other reason than getting cooling temps reset lower.
A SPAL fan is encouraged as well to replace the OEM before it dies.
The JBS splash guards will do a great job of helping keep the radiator clean.

That's kinda why I asked the big bore kit to find out things that I didn't know or to find out more things I can do to my wolverine if I knew everything already I probably wouldn't be on here

there has been several thousand words written on the oil sprocket nut and the failure that comes from it's release. Worth your time(y)

Yea IMO look into hot cams, with such a small displacement machine no matter what you do the gains won't be noticeable, but hot cams are only around $500 and on an atv they definitely woke it up. So maybe with the sxs they will at least change up power delivery up a little bit and make it feel more powerful.

Don't use EngineIce. Once you boil of the water in EI, you will have straight propylene glycol at about 140cSt. Either use Evans or Orielly's concentrate in the black bottle.
