Not Wolvie related but Yamaha...

I have a Grizzly 550 EPS that will not start.
Battery voltage is good but there is a relay (i think) making a chattering sound and the starter motor doesn't crank.
Anyone had this issue? Can I just change out the relay..?

Could just be a weak/shorted battery with it showing 12ish volts but once a load is applied it quickly drops to nothing. I would check the battery first. Try it with jumper cables attached to see if it'll turn over. Then I would try just bypassing the relay by putting a screw driver across the terminals to see if it'll crank over. That would tell you the relay is bad if it starts by bypassing.

Check battery voltage while attempting to start. It shouldn't drop below 10 volts. I have also had dirty switch contacts cause that at the start switch

Have a feeling it is maybe dirty or something of that nature.
I have tried it after charging the battery overnight and also hooked up a booster.
It has happened before and I replaced the battery and all was good until now.
Sounds like a simple fix.

Thanks for the info! I will reply when I have it fixed to update the thread.
