The fully adjustable KYB 's are no joke. I've always been critical of the stock suspension setups on side by sides. Most manufacturers cheap out in this category . A good set of shocks plus springs and revalving for the riders needs isn't cheap. Yamaha did all the work for us here. A person with a little setup knowledge is going to be very happy with what this setup can do.

it's a purpose built machine. KYB is big in the automotive industry.
KYB be has been in motor sports for quite a while. Seeing a machine with a good quality shock that is fully adjustable as a standard is where Yamaha really got me interested.
I just hope they dont do like KTM did with WP and make a budget line with minimum adjustability and slap em on their all their machines that aren't top of their line.
Yamaha has been using KYB poducts on the dirt bikes since tha late 70's , snowmobiles since the late 80's , and a few atv's late 2010's.
2013 Yamaha bought a 3rd of the company.

The Wolverine is no pretender. The KYB shock package is great for trail riding and allow us to travel the same paths as our friends 1000 RZR SP FOX Edition at the same speeds and with greater comfort. We were leading in one section of tighter trails with a moderate amount and size of bumps. We got a bit ahead because they dropped back due to heavy dust, and when the dust cleared we were out of sight and they did not catchup in 40+ seconds until we stopped. And he was working it, I know, because his wife caught it on video! If I were going to drive that section of trail faster, and in comfort, I would have had to do some suspension adjustments. I currently have a little over 50 miles on the wolverine and have not touched the suspension!

I will say that the result would not have been the same on more open and sandy trail. That RZR has long legs and is built for speed but he was surprised and I was HAPPY!

I agree with you on this, took mine for a shake down run yesterday and the stock suspension is amazing. I have a Maverick and have ridden in RZR 1000's and feel that the Wolverine suspension is a notch above for trail riding.
