the header pipe on my exhaust broke off today.
not sure if the pic came through, tried my cel phone as am having troubles getting the phone to sync with my computer, anyways it broke close to the engine head.Bummer, where did it break? Picture?
My dealer has one on order, should be warranty, might be able to braze it,if takes too long,am holding it together with some tin and hose clamps for nowYes sir. That can be fixed no problem. Might need a ball flange added in like the ones Yamaha added to the 700's.
this looks like a good fix,but I don't think there is enough room between the frame and pipe.Yes, these machines run pretty lean from the factory. The constant heating and cooling makes that area very brittle. I imagine it will continue to happen. This is why I recommend some sort of ball or flex joint added to this area.

I can't do too much yet until Yamaha decides if it's warranty as they will want the pipe back,i just hope it's not six months down the road like the rest of issues it's almost like Yamaha built the cart before the horse when it comes to getting partsPut some JB Weld on it and you are all set!
Same goes for accessories. Salesman said getting genuine Yamaha acc. Is near impossible. Been waiting nearly month for my over fenders.I can't do too much yet until Yamaha decides if it's warranty as they will want the pipe back,i just hope it's not six months down the road like the rest of issues it's almost like Yamaha built the cart before the horse when it comes to getting parts
