Yes and no, it is a real thing but highly unlikely to be needed. You can sync/adjust the TB with a carb sync kit or make your own out of clear tubbing and trans fluid (google it and you'll see many different ways, that's how I checked mine). TBW I believe is covered in the owners manual on how much slack you should have. See my comment above on the TPS. I'm not sure if this reading is still available to us. Basically you drill out the TPS mounting holes so you have more adjustment if they are not already slotted.Curious.. at first service, did you get your TB/TBW/TPS calibrated? ( throttle body, throttle by wire, throttle position sensor).
The dealership I bought mine from mentioned that was going to be very important at the first service. Not sure if he's fishing for $, or if it's a real thing.
Wonder why not covered? I'm in Canada and imagine its the same "Inclusion List" in US for items covered under extended warranty. Screenshot of the docs they sent me of that item:Just got a call from the dealership. Throttle body is bad. $1,500 to replace and the garbage extended warranty won’t cover. Spent $1,500 on the warranty looks like I’m out $3k.
I guess it’s true you have to pay to play…
