I went on a long fast drive today and my ears are still ringing,i guess I'm going to have to wear ear plugs as this high pitched wine is driving me nuts,this will be the only machine that I have worn them for in over 50 years of driving different machines.

I have heard others post on the loud whine of the belt drive. I did a test drive and thought it was loud also. It seemed to have some clunking noises from the rear end also.

Can't say its that terrible, but I always wear a helmet whenever I'm riding at any speed

I think that clunking you hear is engine vibration, at low speeds it shakes pretty good, but as you speed up it smooth's right on out. When mine makes that noise it's just the bike saying "hey hit the gas son"

Over the years working in the gas patch ive developed a habit of wearing ear plugs around any type of machine so I usually have mine on. Riding at like 40 mph constant it can be loud but its to be expected out of a cvt.

it is my first machine with a cvt,I rhode in my brothers rhino,but only at slow speeds

It's pretty much all the same noise no matter what side by side you ride in.

My Suzuki 750 Kingquad was CVT and it made no noise. I'm used to the whine that my a Wolverine makes. Curios to see how new Honda sounds

I think it's louder on utv's because the roof and windshields kinda contain the noise in the cab. That's just my opinion anyway, I'm no expert!

It's pretty much all the same noise no matter what side by side you ride in.

my ranger midsize didn't make this noise,but their system is called a pvt and doesn't have pressure on the belt all the time like the cvt system

if it's like the pioneer 700 my neighbour has it will be good .

I had a Yamaha Rhino and it did not have the same whining as the Wolverine. Maybe when you let off the gas on the top end, but no where near the Wolverine. We just went on a long ride and it does get annoying because the machine would not make that have much cabin noise while cruising at 30 mph if the CVT wasn't so loud. You gotta work the throttle to keep the sound down. There must be a way to quiet it down.

You couldn't hear it in the Rhino over the engine noise and intake noise lol.

I sure hope it goes away with time,i also tried playing with throttle,it seems worse on a pull
