I noticed today when I engaged the diff lock it took awhile for it to lock in. Is this normal? If you try driving it for bore it locks in the engine runs rough.

Diff lock is awesome I went up a 100 foot sandy loose rock 35 degree hill today, had to slow down for a water bar. Rode right up. Later in the day I tried just regular 4x4, no problem.

Mine is sluggish to engage once in a while also. I tried rocking the steering wheel, putting it in neutral, drifting backwards, nothing helped. And yes, if you try to accelerate while it is shifting it will limit engine speed so you don't damage the front differential.

I just give the gas pedal a quick bump and it goes right in.

Yep turn the steering wheel left to right and move a bit and it locks in.
