Bandit spring questions?

I purchased a new set of Bandit springs second hand for my Rmax 4 this weekend. I forgot to ask if the short spring was for the front or rear so with a 50/50 I put them on the rear. The install went well.
The thing that worries me it my rear is now 2.25 inches high with the springs having no pree load. I did Taki it for a ride and the ride feels great maybe a little boat-ish.
The two questions I have are do I have the springs on the correct shocks and how do I bring the backend down?

Your correct.
The front takes a lot of preload to get it matched up close to the rear. If the front is a lot lower in ride height, I found the rear measures less as the front comes up.

Looking back at my notes, after 3 adjustments my total preload settings for my bandits on my ‘22 RMAX4 were…

Rear preload - “no end play” plus 5 turns
Front preload - “no end play” plus 27 turns

These settings made the front barely higher than the rear but got rid of the nose dive when braking.

Yes. My machine was and still is higher than it was with the sagged out factory tenders. It’s kind of hard to tell exactly how much it changed because the suspension wasn’t setup very good from the factory, with front lower than rear, and the tenders were already collapsed completely at less than 500 miles when I noticed it. My clearance at the skid when I decided to install the bandits changed quite a bit, but it was all for the better in my opinion.

On worn out tenders (bed empty, no pack outs or cooler)
Front - 12 1/2”
Rear - 13 1/4”

On Bandits after settling (standard load of pack outs in the bed, cooler between the rear seats, after 2 days of riding)
Front - 15 3/4”
Rear - 15 5/8”
