I am hopefully going to pick up my r spec tomorrow! I believe I am going to get a full windshield, accessory mounting bar, spare tire mount, rear grab bar, cargo box, and chainsaw mount. I was curious how necessary the fender kit is. And also how important the a-arm guards would be?

I am thinking about going with the full Guard Set but I tend to do some rock banging... Anyone seen any dimensions on the cargo box?
Conrats bro!

I would definitely get the fender guards. I may reconsider getting the box after seeing the rear covered in mud.
does anybody know how quiet and dusty the cabin is in the new wolverine?

i guess it's the engine placement in the rhino, but it's noisy and really dusty with a windshield.
it's quieter than the Rhino, dust is always a problem with a windshield, or without :) the back panel cuts a lot of it out

This is the list I am adding, was not planning on the accessories right away but after Timmi shared the 18 mos warranty special I decided to go that route. Really wanted a 4,500 lb winch but I am sure the 3,500 will do the job with the weight of the Wolverine. My dealer called today and my machine is in but will wait on the parts to be shipped, probably 3 or 4 days.

Accessory Price
Rear Grab Bar
2MB-F85E0-V0-00 MSRP = $179.99
Overfender Kit
2MB-F15E0-V0-00 MSRP = $149.99
Winch Mount by WARN®
2MB-F28M0-V0-00 MSRP = $149.99
ProVantage 3500 Winch by WARN®
SSV-F740C-V0-00 MSRP = $469.99
Left Side Mirror
1XD-F6204-V0-00 MSRP = $62.95
Right Side Mirror
1XD-F6205-V0-00 MSRP = $62.95

I always ask if they can cut me some slack since I am buying so much from them, they usually give me a break on prices.

I did not check, what do most dealers do?
I talked to my dealer and to get the free warranty the first $1k in accessories must be at retail price. After that they can discount any extra accessories. There is also a special offer on top of the free 18 mos of warranty coverage that allows you to add 2 extra years for $299 or 3 extra years for $399 for a total of 4 or 5 years. The 18 mos is added to the standard 6 mos so that gives me 2 years. I am good with that, will likely either be selling or heavy modding by then.

I believe the full 5 year warranty is transferable. So you can sell a three year old machine with warranty, the new owner gets a two year warranty. What a great resale feature!

If it's like other Yamaha warranties there are no deductibles and they will honor warranties with some mods and only don't cover repairs if the failure is directly related to the modification. On snowmobiles they even cover the turbocharged motor with the Yamaha offered MPI turbo. This increases horsepower from 130-135 HP to 180-190 HP! The best warranty in the business!

good to hear, I ponied up the extra $300 and went with the 4 years of warranty. figured it is a good feature to have on a newly released machine, especially if I decide to flip it when/if Yamaha comes out with a newer sxs this year.

It's not too loud at all the dust will all present on where you are riding. I've hit a lot of mud and the cab ends up covered in it so I will be putting a windshield on it
I didn't get the fender guards. Heard they don't keep as much mud off as one thinks. Winch and windshield a must in my opinion.
Can the Side Mirrors be easily folded in by hand?
I was recently at a dealer checking out a Wolverine and the so-called salesperson directed me to the Parts or Service Departments for every question I had regarding those items.
I didn't get the fender guards at first. After the first ride I ordered them. In my opinion they make a huge difference!
Here are some accessories from HMF I just picked mine up today and then mounted my new wheels. Not pictured is the fuel controller.

1. Full exhaust system (their Swamp series)
2. Rear bumper
3. Fuel controller
Someone asked how quiet the cabin is. I find it quieter than my Grizzly and my guess it's a tad quieter than the Viking. DOHC in Wolverine is quieter than SOHC. And more low end torque.
weave32... Let me know how much difference once you have them installed and gone for a ride. If a noticeable difference, I'll go get them. Thx
