looks like all carry overs from 2025 on the rmax and vicking and no yxz1000 for 2026! Atv’s seem to be carry overs

Not a fan of the new colors for the XTR. Might look better in person but the pictures don't look great

Keep hearing MY27 for hvac n new clutch system in rmax. Hope so because yearly pri/sec clutch maintenance on my 22 Sport takes up to much of my time and is way to costly for 2k miles of riding. Before the bashing starts, yes I got Weller clutch, tune, exhaust tip, 22 gr weights n tinkseal.

Picked up for my brother a new advertised price $19,999 2025 RMAX2 XTR (including Oregon Corporate charge) $20,087 OTD last weekend at Sublimity Powersports. Salesman told me no more YXZ1000 and he heard whatever Yamaha builds to replace will be some type of automatic, whether belt or true auto he didn’t know. He said the present YXZ is too specific for a market that doesn’t want to shift gears (even paddle shifting). I’ve been lusting the 6spd YXZ since Massive bought his…wondering if I should pick up one of the last YXZ XTR’s before they are gone. I love direct drive!
Any thoughts Massive on what may be coming from Yamaha for Pure Sport models…I promise I won’t tell anyone!😉

If I knew I couldn't tell you but honestly I do not know. I think the 6 speed transmission would have been a major waste of time just to keep the YXZ going for 2 years more. I hope to see it in a new sport platform by Yamaha. I blame the YXZ community for the demise of the YXZ. I blame the silent ones who love it and I blame the wannabe $50K Sport SxS zealots who don't appreciate what the YXZ is.

Inaccurate/false comments from the Yamaha community such as:

"He said the present YXZ is too specific for a market that doesn’t want to shift gears (even paddle shifting)." or,
"The Yamaha can't crawl at all"

Also helped kill the YXZ. You don't have to shift at all, it has a FULLY AUTOMATIC shift mode, which I actually use 90% of the time. There hasn't been a place that my YXZ couldn't go that my RMAX4 could. YES the RMAX is a better crawler, but the YXZ is NOW very capable at crawling.

I can tell you this: If Yamaha drops the sequential transmission I will be keeping my YXZ if the new sport model, if it comes to fruition, doesn't have it.

Mystic Gulch rentals in Deadwood is selling they 24 YXZ units for $10K. Yes they're high mileage but if my 401K was just 1 year more into this MAGA economy I would be picking one up as a dedicated amateur race rig.

MO, What kind of mileage do those 24's have in deadwood? I have sold my RMAX with all intentions of buying a 24 or 25 YXZ But now I've been dragging my feet.
At 65 This may be my last machine and I'd like to keep it for a while, maybe I'm overthinking this but do I want a machine with a transmission that was only on the market for two years? Could that be a problem down the road if it needs service? There is a handful of 25 XTRS available {no 24's} But I thought there was going to be a 26 as their last year and was hoping prices would drop on the leftover 25's but nobody's really dealing on those at this time.
I'd have probably kept the RMax but I was dreading servicing the clutch again and wanted to get away from that.

They range between ~8K-10K miles and higher. The 6 speed has a lot of durability improvements and I honestly believe that transmission has a future.

Is there any difference btwn the ‘24 and ‘25 YXZ XTR? I see a ‘24 available near me.
None that I can tell mechanically.

I knew the YXZ was on borrowed time. Let me tell ya though I am soooo happy I got one. The thing is such a race car. But also is amazingly capable. I kinda feel like mine is a limited edition now being that only 2 years came with the 6 speed auto trans.. I have over 2K miles on mine now and would like to slow down now that their discontinued and keep it forever but don't think I can cause it's way too fun to moto........

Anyone heard when the 26's will begin arriving at dealers?
