Your life revolves around adrenaline highs tearing through treacherous terrain, so you’ll most likely be in the know about the need for resilient equipment of all kinds. But as much as you like to take risks being the thrill-seeker you are, you’re probably not wanting to risk damage to the valuable gear which accompanies you on your dirt-inducing escapades.
If you love ATVs as much as we do, you’ll be looking for a watch to match your powerful rugged machine. You need the G-SHOCK Mudmaster GG1000-1A. The latest addition to the MASTER OF G MUDMASTER Series, it’s built to withstand harsh environments and extreme conditions. Not only is it shock resistant, but the Mudmaster defies sand, dust, water and mud too.

The 2018 Honda Pioneer 700 Deluxe and Yamaha Wolverine R-Spec are two middleweight adventure UTVs that share quite a bit in common.
Like many of you, I like to get my need for speed fulfilled with the big horsepower UTVs that are readily available. However, if you asked most of us here which machines we enjoy and spend most of our time in, the smaller machines usually make the list. For that reason, I’m going to have two of my personal favorite face off by the numbers; the 2018 Honda Pioneer 700 Deluxe and the 2018 Yamaha Wolverine R-Spec. These two adventure UTVs have similar engine sizes and the similarities go beyond that, although it may not look like that right off the bat.

I visited the Whitetail Diaries Ranch in southwest Texas for a bow hunting and off-roading adventure as we chased for big bucks and drove Yamaha UTVs.
Three years ago an invitation to visit the Yamaha Whitetail Diaries camp in southwest Texas resulted in my first ever bow hunting experience and a freezer full of organic goodness. It is an experience I wrote about here and one I think back on often. As luck would have it, I was invited back again this year and didn’t hesitate to accept.
A lot has changed in the three years between these experiences. I was still fairly new to archery at the time of my first hunt, but I’ve now got 4.5 years of archery experience under my belt. And this doesn’t mean a rare trip to the range to practice. I shoot 300 to 400 arrows every week and am now in charge of bow reviews for the ArcheryTalk YouTube channel.

For a bit of fun we decided to see how the 2018 Yamaha Wolverine X4 compares on paper to its stable mate – the Wolverine R-Spec – in a case of off-road sibling rivalry.
Yamaha currently has two recreational UTVs in the stable under the Wolverine moniker – the standard Wolverine two-seater that has been out for a couple of years, and the all-new 2018 Yamaha Wolverine X4. While it would have been easier for Yamaha to simply modify the current Wolverine set-up to include two more seats, they went a very different route. How different? Let’s take a look.
