    Hatfield McCoy Trails in July

A group of us are going down to the HMT in mid-July. Iím wondering if anybody has experience down there during this time of year? I have to believe itíll be very hot/humid. But will it be dusty? Iím trying to determine if I should remove my front windshield, or leave it on for our trip?

Iíve been there once but it was a mid-April trip. It was cool in the mornings, and there was some mud too. I had my windshield on and was glad I did.

Weather has been pretty unpredictable in Southern Ohio, Northern WV and eastern PA the last few years. It should be hot, humid and dry. Last year it rained nearly ever weekend. Last week we had 50 degree temp swing, 90's to 40's. I would bring it and decide if you need it after the first ride.

This is a good assessment. It can be wet one day and dusty the next in WV.

We were there June 6-9 and it rained one morning. I thought we'd be dust free all day but by 10:30 am = dusty. I'd imagine mid-July would be worse.

we were in Ashland 2 weeks ago, 90+ in the sun. Dust is a factor, Lots of guys like a rear window to help, I like the hogsnout as well.
Dont forget, the trail offices are still closed. We had to be out of our cabin by 10am thursday and wanted to ride the rest of the day before heading back to Pa, Luck be with us the local VFD let us shower before heading home.
