We only use ethanol fuel. It’s all we have here in MA. I do treat the fuel often and use it weekly. The machine does not run hot and the fan is working. I did put a new coil in it. I also removed and cleaned the fuel tank and inspected the fuel pump. The fuel tank had a fair amount of silt in it. I believe dust entered through the vent. Friday I could barley move it without it stalling. Yesterday it started right up and was going 52mph on the street and banging off the rev limiter. All of the work was done before Friday. I just don’t get why one day it falls on its face and a few days later runs great. Jim

If you find the vent tube. Check the tube diameter and pickup one of those small snowmobile inline fuel filters and insert it, then extend from the other end of it to and area of less dust. I have looked but did not see a tube under the passenger seat as of yet. But its a spring job once I get to it. Simple fix and the air gets filtered. I did that in my Kingquad I had.

It's behind the rear seat not under it.

You have the same machine as I do! I don't have rear seats. Must be under the box above the gas tank then if that the case.

Yes you have it in MA. Call them and verify and take a couple clean 5 gallon cans.
I use to use racing fuel in my 2-strokes, man what a difference! Started easier and revved up better.

Did you check to see if it had any trouble codes?
Backfiring, I still suspect valves. Check your compression when hot & acting up.
If not compression check fuel pressure & volume. Volume is a critical test, I’ve seen some pass pressure but fail volume....
If neither of these I’d suspect electronics or wiring.
Did the coil come with a new plug wire? If not check it with an ohm meter while wiggling the wire.
If you were close I’d tell you to bring it by and I’d check it out.
You need to perform some basic tests or take it to someone who can.
    Regards

I have't seen it mentioned, but have you checked to see if the fuel tank vent is clear? Try removing the gas cap when it's running bad and see if it helps.

It's behind the passenger seat between the seat and the cargo box. Sorry for the poor explanation above.

Gas tank cleaned. Vent tube for tank is clear. No trouble codes at all. The coil did come with new spark plug wire. Ran it for about 4hours yesterday with zero issues. I did seafoam the fuel injector and treat the fuel tank with seafoam (heavy dose) and no problems since. Fingers crossed. I have been leaning to a dirty fuel issue. I will reasearch this fuel filter on the vent line next and hopefully it keeps the dust from getting into the tank

For the fuel filter for intake air. See this various ones available in plastic for example. Just need to know hose diameter. Still haven't found mine. https://www.royaldistributing.com/Ca...ll-Winter/198/

I'd take a hose off the other end and maybe route it to the air box area but if enough gas fumes build up and back fire on startup could occur. A work in progress...
