I don't think it would be caused by cold temps. Living here in Ontario Canada I drove mine in -20 temps and parked in my heated garage and never had a problem. And mine is pritty new still with 680k. My park brake though does not want to release sometimes when I stop and put the park brake on. I have to pull on the lever where the brake cable connects. I'm thinking the same as you guys that it's probably something with the master cylinder. Interested in finding out though.

I was anticipating this could happen to me. I research everything to the n'th degree before a purchase is made. Yep it happened. 6 miles. New master cylinder will be here Wednesday. I forward this link to the dealer. Main Street Motorsports in Lewiston Idaho is a great dealer to work with. They came out to my property and bled the pressure so I could get it back to the barn. They will pick it up and bring it back when the repair is made. Now I will make the Hunterworks upgrades and all should be good.

I have stuck this thread, and would like to invite anyone with the same problem to post here and let us know about it. Hopefully Yamaha can resolve this permanently if they haven't already.

The parking brake is a separate system from the hydraulic brake system, Then it effects all four wheels. That kinda narrows it down to the master cylinder

Sounds like master cylinder is causing issues with all 4 wheels locking up but I also had my parking brake freeze up I forgot about it and set my parking brake after riding in the snow and the bottom of the machine was pretty packed up with snow. Next day I couldn't get the brake to release until the engine warmed up and melted off some of the snow. My garage isn't heated so I imagine with all that half melting snow it got iced up over night.

This just happened to me. all wheels locked all of a sudden. Cracked the brake line after the master cylinder and free'd them up, but the pedal still goes straight to the floor like it's holding preassure going into the master cylinder if that makes sense. New one is ordered on backorder, i'm out of warranty so i'm gonna replace myself. Any advise?
