Remove the center console storage unit, reach forward by the shifter. There is a two pin connector to the annoying buzzer. Disconnect it and enjoy the quiet. Mine is a 2017 and beeps if I put it in gear without a seatbelt.

You would almost think they want you to have your seat belt on if your about to take off. Lol.
Usually when it goes in gear that is like the last hint your about to boogie on out. At least they didn't make it beep if it was just key on and just being in the seat.

It is annoying but will often remind you at times when you did want it on. My YXZ is crazy it doesn't make a peep until you hit like 5 or 10 mph then it goes off and it is WAY louder than the Wolverine. About scares the crapola outcha.

That is the reason you would not want to remove the buzzer but rather just do the seatbelts. Very easy to forget the parking brake when your out playing. Since there is no park position in trans most tend to use it more often.

My brother got a 2018 Gen1 and it doesn’t beep until you go more than 10 miles an hour. Any idea what part was added to do that? My 2017 beeps the second it is in a forward gear.

I don't see why bypassing the belt circuit would disable the buzzer for PARK on. It worked before. I'll have to return it back to see and trouble shoot why it silenced.

I have been caught a number of time moving it and the brack is still on. I move it out gently so if its not moving I detect the sound different of the engine and see it lit up. I am super light on the throttle until its run as warmed up and run for a while.

On my 2018 X2 all you have to do is open up the seat belt buckle on the driver side (three screws) There is a magnet in side. Take it out, put the buckle back together. Done. Takes a couple of minutes to do.

I have a 2017 and I don't see this wire or connector by the shifter. In fact, I can't see where the wire goes at all. Follow the wire from the seatbelt latch, down the seatbelt arm, then it disappears under the plastic and I can't see where it goes from there.
