Just had a son graduate last year from OSU.
Hey sure appreciate the info on Perry county. I had heard of it but was curious to what it looked like. I need to get an Ohio rec plate.

Just dont go to Perry state forest alone. We have had a couple good stucks every trip. Being old strip mine you cant count on having something to winch to and just about zero chance of something coming along that could pull out a SXS. The place is empty during the week and dirt bikes still make up most of the traffic. It has some steep rutted hills on main trails, mostly on the east side of the system. I hit a very deceptive patch of mud on a dry trail that stopped me from about 10 mph. No water, just following two tracks across a clearing and then the ground was higher than my dash on the drivers side, looked flat and dry when I hit it.

That sounds rough! Good advise, didn't think about the no winch points. Guess I better take the youngest son with me and leave wife home on that run.
Not riding with anyone yet so we'll just have to be extra careful. Are the trails marked any?

Official trails are well marked, nothing for user made trails. Most of the trails are pretty tame, but there are a few places that catch you off guard. There are many user made hills that a SXS don't have a chance on.
