There is NO issue with the JBS clutch, weller flash and stock exhaust. Weller needs The JBS clutch to properly tune the flash for the HMF pipe. This thread was about working through the issue. I received help but has since turned into this mess. The problem has been sorted and between JBS, Weller they know how to fix problem. Done! Leave it to them to figure it out!
There is no issue with Hunterwork's clutching, Weller flash, and HMF combo.

There is no issue with stock clutching, Weller flash, and HMF combo.

At most you may want to go up in primary roller weight to take advantage of the extra torque, but it's not mandatory. My personal recommendation is to go up in weight if you fit the same riding style I have, which are technical trail riding with highway commuting in OHV-street-legal-friendly states.

Timmi will use half-lies showing Rory Conrad having a JBS setup with no issues...........Rory Conrad DOES NOT have an aftermarket exhaust (he may have the Weller flash but I can't recall but don't believe he does). As you said Wherry, the issue is with: 'JBS clutching, weller flash and the HMF combo' which Timmi wants to ignore.

While I agree that the Weller flash can be optimized for a JBS clutch, the pundits have maintained all along that it was a Weller and/or HMF issue. I'll make it clear that Kyle\Weller wishes to remain neutral, as he should, which goes to his credit despite the JBS camp poo-pooing on Weller (and HMF).

'Leave it to them to figure it out'. I partially agree. If customers with the existing JBS clutch get their problems fixed with JUST a Weller ECU flash update, then the JBS camp can be fully-vindicated and say: 'we told you so!'. If it takes JBS version 2 (or any other version thereafter) of clutch to fix the problem, we all know the JBS camp was lying as usual. If all it take is a removal of the shim, or a different shim, or heavier OD weights (or any combination of the 3), that would be a win-win for everyone that owns an existing ver. 1 X2/X4 JBS clutch.

I just got an X2 and will put my 30" Blackwaters on it. I generally ride rougher trails in AK, mud, pull a wagon during hunting season, and will plow snow in the winter.. Todd said he has not tested the X2 with 30s so he recommends 18g weights and then try 16g if Iwant more rpms. There must be someone out there running 30's who can chime in with what weights they went with? A guy here in AK runs 30" Cryptids, has the sheave and 18g weights, and wishes he had lower gears. Anyone with experience with 30"s and the Hunterworks setup??

That is what I think he needs lower gears not necessarily lighter weights, 16 will certainly give more RPM I personally just will not give an answer to something I have not done is all. I can tell you theory and probably be right but there is a chance it does not work as well as you want too.

That is why the offer of second set at cost was there.

I have a set on the Yamaha X2 big tire weights. (16 grams)
I will sell you for half price.
They were to low geared for my 29"s.
I do a lot of higher speed riding.
