So the Woverine does not have limited slip in the rear differential. That means while riding on dirt roads you are chewing up tires on the turns.

None of Yamaha's ATV's or SXS's have a limited slip rear differential. Less to wear out in my opinion, just a great traction with both wheels providing traction. It's hard on the lawn, but worth it for trails.

Is there any ATV/SXS with a rear limited slip? The only things I can think of that even have a selectable locker are the P1000, Mule pro fx and the Ranger/General. They are open diffs when unlocked.

I think I read that the Havoc also does and that it has been reliable where as the general has had a lot of problems.
That post by you the OP was a statement, not a question. He joined with no introduction and no info as to owning a wolverine. If I’m wrong I’ll apologize but it struck me 100 percent as a troll with a stupid statement!

I suspect that, as is the case with most ATVs/UTVs Yamaha simply realizes that a locked diff is not a significant problem offroad. It causes a minimal additional amount of tire wear, when factored over the life of a tire, and is a little disrespectful of nice lawns. Other than that the locked rear end is simple and very reliable. Even on pavement the inner rear tire only scuffs significantly at low speeds, above that it unloads enough with cornering forces to a non-issue.

I agree with you. I just thought it funny he was calling out Yamaha for something no manufacturer has.
