I woke up thing this morning. What is the pressure once its reving!! RPM's while driving I am sure going to be around 5000RPM or higher for you hot rod drivers. I bet its a lot more. I checked some filter spec's especial Wix filter and their bypass is 11-14lbs but that internal resistance pressure difference before the bypass opens up. Many filter (fram is famous for the worst or them all) bypass parts are extremely poor and no likely to work at all. Some might even open and stay open always and never filter your oil.

2nd, are you able to say exactly which wire from the helmet light you used? I want to use this for a coolant temp gauge I'm going to install. Also, how difficult was it to remove the light to get at the wire? or did you have to come at it from the back side?

    Thanks!
I cant really say. I pulled it 2 years ago for the switches. Its 3 wires, 1 ground, 1 hot with key on and 1 hot with seat belt unbuckled. So buckle the seat belt and it will the only wire with power.

I think you can pop the switch out from the front and have a little wire to work with. Easiest is to unbolt hood and slide it up the cage.

Just finished my oil pressure sensor install, as explained by JRAOFFROAD. Worked out great! Thanks for the tech tip.

Glad to see this help somebody out. The one change I've made is covering up the plug end at the sensor. Splashing puddle hard gets it just wet enough to cause enough ground to dimly light an LED light just enough to notice it at night.
