    I think that we are thinking parallel. Flat moderate cruising, fan hardly ever cycles except in hot summer or it takes a long hard hill climb to get it really working. And that with a clean radiator. The sensors and gauges are probably only accurate to 3 percent or so and that is several degrees so that is probably more inaccurate than three inches downstream. I spent good money for an Autometer gauge and found that it took three sensors to get within 5 degrees accurate in a pan of boiling water at 500 feet above sea level. That is less than 3 percent accurate. So I am kinda letting the anxiety level subside and just take it for an indicator of big issues.

    Yeah, I saw while looking for info on Gen 1's a different fan available for these included (appeared like it) a high efficiency rad as well.
