Hunterworks X2/X4 Machined Sheave is done!!!

Finally Yamaha X2/X4 Machined Sheave is done!!! What this means is the machine work is done and for the most part the weight selections etc.

With 28" tires I got 62mph GPS and 8350 RPM, at 56 which is where we started with just ECU flash it was running a crazy high 8600 rpm and now at 56 it is at 7700 rpm. So faster and less RPM. Take off is much improved too from moving the belt lower in primary. Just tidbits for now.

Now I have to do a explanation video, install video, tech article to lay out weights etc. I would also like to check a few more combinations before selling. The main obstacle has been the machining and getting around an issue with the design of this clutch and the cam plate we have never had to deal with on other Yamaha vehicles, but none the less this is a huge step forward and I am crossing my fingers we will be selling and shipping these out within two weeks.

There will be a page on the site once they are ready to go and me taking my only summer vacation starting wednesday is slowing me down a bit. But we are done with sheave!!!

I'm very interested in getting more low end right off idle since i do so much low speed rough climbing. Please be sure to talk about the gains of low end performance in the explanation video.

Not sure what I can tell you other than we moved the belt about half the distance the stock set up left, there is an area about 1/2" the belt does not go down to and now there is about 3/16 " from seal protrusion now. How that translates in low end is hard to explain, all I can tell you is, it is much better. With 28" tires pulling out of shop, when I got on the gravel road, I had no trouble spewing gravel all over the place when flooring it. Sadly I didn't drive it with stock sheave but maybe a couple miles so giving you a comparison by feel is tough.

The belt riding deeper in the sheave translates to a lower initial gear ratio which would be nice. I'm looking forward to the new product release.
