I have a 36" Foot Locker from UWS that can be mounted just about anywhere, I bolted mine down to a front hitch rack. They are extremely well made and worth the cost.

They also make a full lineup of trailer tongue boxes.

The metal one from Harbor Freight is pretty good. The only bad thing is the way it comes you have to lock it to remove the key. I remember taking the lock apart and turning it or removing a stop but I cant remember if it's still lockable.

The most significant comment I can make is that if you want to carry gas cans/jugs in the box, search out the sizes and jugs before you buy the box. I put a smaller Ranger pickup tool box on my trailer and splayed the corners to give truck clearance. It is a low box and I have a couple of flatter style 5 gal jugs, but they are hard to find. Personally I would rather carry gas in the trailer than in the bed of truck. And I can lock it up when away from the trailer.

I have the same one. It's worked good for me. And yeah I removed a piece from inside the lock and now I can take the key out when unlocked or locked.

I never lock it so I couldn't remember if the key would only come out unlocked or not.
