We’ve got 3” on the ground already and it’s still coming down. Supposed to last until 4:00am. Sick of this shit. We had a long Winter and a shitty Spring so far. This doesn’t help. It’s 32 out.

Hoping you guys get rid of that crap by mid June. We are heading up that way for a week of riding in the Nemo area.

    Tripplec,
I was in Barry's Bay last weekend (April 4) and took rail bed, and various sled/ATV trails to visit Spectacle Lake Lodge, Paugh Lake, etc. Trails were fantastic with the exception of snow stretches and ice shelves with 1-2' washouts, that either of which if you went into at the wrong speed could be an issue. There was plenty of water, but nothing problematic. By the end of day the dust was starting to kick up.
All in all a very good weekend's riding. This is more ATV than UTV territory if you have the choice, IMHO. There was only one time I needed to winch out, but the rocks and boulders there made me wish for shorter/narrow wheelbase....my skid plates took a beating! More crunching in that weekend than I can count on my fingers and toes, whereas the others had zero touchdowns. I was also the filthiest bike and rider as well....far and above the ATV riders. And of course, I carried all their shit with me!

We did climb Burnett's Pond Lookout, and that was certainly not intended for SxS widths. Some gnarly climbing in there, but the path was real tight. I swept a couple gallons of pine needles and dead branches out of my cab....probably will be finding pine needles for years to come!

Sounds a little rough for me. I don't like getting my machine dinged up or bottoming out.

Our rain just keeps on coming. Lake Ontario is now flooding the north shore lower areas. I can see a number of shore like lots with low grades being covered over with lake water already and they're is a lot of water flowing down from the northern cottage areas who got flooded earlier.

Temps are too cold, 6-7C nights and days barely hitting 10C. Summer will be here before a change occurs I am sure.

Still limited to my local trail when I can between heavy doses of rain. flooding has increased on our shores and drying up is not happening. Even the temps have drop below 10C at night. Spring is going to be a miss it appears.

Man everyone's weather is crap up north. Our spring was 3 months ago. No rain in 3 weeks. Highs around 95F, 35C.

I've been out for a couple of rides. Mostly on roads because the trails have been closed due to the flooding. My first ride this year I had to make several detours because roads were washed out. Here's a picture I took a few weeks ago. This is a road that was washed out. The water is at least 3' deep with a strong current.

I got out for a short ride yesterday. The forecast was only this time as expected. Sunny, just warm enough 15C and NO RAIN for change. We've had a load and it dumped down hard last night like we needed more. But a few photos attached.

I saw wildlife but you know, there is no sneaking up on any of it with this machine. Turkeys, gross, Red Fox, and a Turtle on a road I crossed (he didn't even move. LOL)

One of the photos at there is a large flooding which was the end of the line for me. It wasn't too long but I started into it (I am by myself, alone) and the water got much deeper. About 10ft into the pool I was looking out at the sides and water was half way up the wheels about were the axles are and just at the lip of the skid plate. Much further and it would be in the floor area.

I backed out and headed back down the trail to my trail head where i parked the trailer. All in all I got 100km ride. I had just picked the machine up from its 1st service interval which it had 560km on it. Everything was checked over etc and re lubed.

Trail was rough and not as much water in some areas I would have espected but others stretchs mini ponds everywhere and washed out trail troughs to contend with. As per most trails you can't run these too fast. 90% of it is less than 50km/hr. The suspension got a good workout and made me wonder why there aren't grease zerks on the front arms.
