    HDHP X2 Build

Well, I picked up a 19 X2. I am going to try and do a build here. I have built many vehicles/toys in my life however, I have never documented it. I guess the best way for me to do it is to post things as I go.

So here is what I plan on doing.

    Mud/Splash guards *
Throttle mod to take the slop out of the gas pedal *
    Hinged throttle assist*
    Rear Bumper *
    Rear Bed Cargo Rack *
Trailer Hitch with D Ring *
    Tree Kickers *
    Winch
LED Lights Front Rear and Sides
    Windshield
    Handheld Ham Radio Mount*

The Asterisks are items I am going to fab myself!

This list will grow as I begin building.

Here I did the "Zip Tie Mod" But instead of using a Zip Tie I used a small Lock Collar! It works great on taking up the slack in the pedal but I still am going to have to make a hinged throttle assist to get rid of the "Throttle Bounce" when going slow

Here I have some Splash/Mud Guards for the Wheel wells and the portion of the Fire well that the steering shaft comes through the fire well. They actually work pretty well.

Here are some pics of a decal kit I bought from Dirt Decalz. Jason Flemming is awesome to work with and will design anything you want! We had an issue with one of the decal panels and He fixed it on a Sunday and shipped it out the next day! I should receive it on Wednesday. Some of the Decalz are rather easy to install, while some are not. Just be patient, use a spray bottle with a fine mist and get a Decal squeegee. Oh, a cold adult beverage will help the install too! I used Plastic Dip in between the panels to cover up the Maroon gaps. I think it looks good. What do you guys think? Be easy on me lol! I will post pics of the hood when I get the replacement panel. Once again Hats off to Jason at Dirt Decalz!

    Thanks,SKELLEY521!
I know there is a cable adjustment. However, I used this mod on my 17 YXZ1000R and it works awesome! It takes out the correct amount of slack without guessing and having to test to make sure you did not take out too much. It's a 2-5 min install and you are done!

Well, I had this hinge laying around the garage and decided to fix that "Throttle Bump" That we all experience. Now I can focus on the bumper. I do have the brackets fabbed up and the tubing for it. It just takes time with everything I have going on. Stay tuned!

I paid $400 without the tailgate decal. I got a good deal on a Maroon x2 I hated the color so I changed it. I am still at a lower cost on my X2 than some other dealerships! Look Jason up on FB Dirt Decalz..

I built this rear bumper and I am going to add a swing-out tire carrier for it. I have a good idea what I want, now I just need some time! lol It looks crooked in some pics but I assure you it is dead nuts!! It is the angle on the Phone/Camera. My Bumper clears the stock muffler guard and you can open the tailgate without any interference issues. I do believe that this is the FIRST Rear Bumper for the X2 that will clear the tailgate and will let you still use the Dump Bed!
